Two dates to put on the Calendar.  Further details will be available at the Troop Meeting next week.

First Date

October 1st thru 2nd - Overnite Backpacking Trip at Delaware Water Gap. 

STRONGLY recommended for Scouts/Parents that have not yet backpacked. 

The Troop is planning for Philmont in 2018.  Requests for dates will be submitted to Philmont on 26OCT and we will need a firm count. 

Do you like Backpacking?  The 1st question to answer.

This will be the last opportunity to answer this question before you will need to decide if you are in for Philmont 2018. 

Of course Scouts and Parents need more information such as:

Estimated Cost - for the Trip, for needed gear, for training...

Time Commitment - 5 -7 required weekend training trips from Spring of 2017 thru summer 2018 plus classroom instruction.

Second Date

October 21st thru 23rd - Webelos Camping Invitational at Brendan Byrne State Forrest.   This is our Annual Outdoor Recruiting Event.
